Nathan

Story by: Sarah Horne

What can you say about a young man who is becoming a college student this fall? Nathan Bates is a senior in high school; who has many goals he wants to accomplish and many dreams he want to see through to the end. Nathan was born on January 15 in 1995 in Fayetteville NC but he moved to Tennessee in his early years. Nathan lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Chattanooga is one of the South’s top travel destinations. In fact, the New York Times named Chattanooga TN one of the “Top 45 Places to go" in the World. Nathan loves living in Chattanooga because of this huge support group from his family and friends. His friend says "he is a hard headed person but he got a great head on his shoulders."

Nathan goals after high school are to go to The University of Tennessee, Knoxville to become a pharmacist and to seek new adventures. Nathan grandparents say "he is always trying new things and enjoy taking risks to have a great time." While he is in school his goals is to make great grades and have fun with this friends before college starts this fall. Nathan says “I can’t wait to go to college and experience new and exciting things." He believes that his goals might change over-time with new experiences; especially when he gets out of college. After he goes to college for 6 to 8 years he wants to get marry and raise a family.  Nathan is a very great young man and always wanted to have a great wife to share his joy with. One of his friends says “he is a wonderful young man, even if he cannot see it for himself, and he is very friendly and wants to help others anyway he can."

One of Nathan friends states this: "He could be my partner in crime. I have known him for three years and he is a crazy guy but has a strong mind. He is very sweet and always believes in other and himself. Overall, he is an amazing guy to have around because he will always try to take care of you."
